This website has been established to facilitate efficient communications between interested parties and potential claimants of American Tax Relief LLC, and all of its subsidiaries and affiliates; and its Court-appointed Temporary Equity Receiver, Thomas Seaman (the "Receiver"). Mr. Seaman was appointed on September 24, 2010, by the United States District Court For The Northern District Of Illinois, Eastern Division, in a civil action brought by the Federal Trade Commission (the "FTC") in the matter of FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION v. AMERICAN TAX RELIEF LLC, ALEXANDER SEUNG HAHN, JOO HYUNG PARK, YOUNG SOON PARK, IL KON PARK; Case No. 10CV 6123. The FTC has alleged that the Defendants have engaged in deceptive practices relating to the advertising, marketing, promotion, offering for sale, or sale of tax relief services. The United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois has issued a temporary restraining order prohibiting the alleged practices. You may view a copy of the TEMPORARY RESTRAINING ORDER WITH ASSET FREEZE AND OTHER EQUITABLE RELIEF ("TRO"). On November 4, 2010, the Court approved the PRELIMINARY INJUNCTION WITH ASSET FREEZE.
On July 20, 2011, the case was transferred to the United States District Court For The Central District of California. The presiding judge is The Hon. Dale S. Fischer. The magistrate judge is The Hon. Patrick J. Walsh.
